It is important to note that the quality of the activated carbon used in the process plays a crucial role in the efficiency of the decolorization.

 Activated carbon with a high surface area and pore volume is more effective in removing impurities from the sugar solution. 

Additionally, the pH of the activated carbon solution can also affect the decolorization process. 

Therefore, it is essential to optimize the pH of the activated carbon solution to achieve the best results.
